Myasthenia Gravis Lay Forum 2022

On June 15, 2022, the Department of Neurosciences conducted a lay forum for patients with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) in the Department Conference Room and through Facebook live. This was attended by at least 24 patients and members of the Myasthenia Gravis Society of the Philippines (MGSP). The lecture was given by one of the Adult Neurology residents, Dr. Grace Angeles. She gave an update on the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of MG. This was followed by an open forum hosted by Dr. Mario Prado where common misconceptions associated with MG were discussed. It was definitely a successful endeavor and the Department will continue this annual lay forum to strengthen the support for the patients with MG.
